It's more of a hit and miss.
Tomb Raider wasn't too bad.
Dead or Alive looked very much like a campy B-movie and somewhat decently bearable?
First Silent Hill movie was very good adaptation, it was faithful to the game, the game's atmosphere and poignant ending.
I'm feeling positive about The Last of Us with Sam Raimi backing/producing the film.
And then there is the GranTurismo film which the...
I think VR-tech would only occupy a small niche market in gaming so Sony really needs to find other avenues for them to sell and make "Morpheus" a success while also gaining profit.
Migraine, nausea, vomiting, long term eye disorder with constant use of VR ( microwave comes to mind ) for every individual since this technology basically covers your entire peripheral vision. It's *so not like 3D with glasses.
Concerning games.. some developers not putting VR-tech to good use/only to promote mediocre games?
VR hardware - reliability, warranty, heat issues?
Nothing against VR which I think is another step forward for gam...
I bet 97% console gamers use Plasma/HDTV/4K.
98% of PC gamers have a very good to high-end monitors.
All racing game developers now need to build *optionally a complete CGI interior ( rear seats ) and ( cargo compartments for wagons/SUV's ) on all vehicles to really get the best out of VR-cabin view.
Also wider shots to cover all tracks and surrounding backgrounds.
Good thing with VR-racing is triple/multiple screens aren't needed anymore.
Gerard Butler and Josh Brolin are definite contenders with *Javier Bardem also a possibility.
*Elle Fanning is quite tall for Ellie but she looks the part.
Also *Hailee Steinfeld of True Grit.
I'd still include *Ellen Page on the lists'.
Now imagine if that VR video footage ( topmost ) were to be Titanfall 2 on PS4..
With Sam Raimi backing the film adaptation, am positively looking forward to it's first screen showing.
I also think a background side-story upon how the Cordyceps fungus came to infect humans will be included in the film just to get the full story before all hell breaks loose.
Think if they could explain further/and or add an underlying backstory about the Cordyceps fungus gaining access to human form and tie it in with Ellie's immunity which then sets to what we much see in the game but apply it onto live action/CGI, and add a good number of decent actors with great direction and cinematography, they could just pull it off in the box office.
Batsuit and Batmobile looks very well researched designs.
Could see them tie-in some of those looks/tech onto live-action Superman vs Batman film.
After playing DLC - Left Behind, in the back of my mind I just wished NaughtyDog would create another DLC backstory or something..
..this game ( The Last of Us/Left Behind ) simply gives you a sense of positive attachment to the story and it's wonderful characters.
Never felt so connected to a game ever, same with Uncharted Series.
Just have to laugh when gamers' talk like sales representatives.
They have their scales charts and percentage numbers.. it's just so embarrassing.
Not a fave for it's floaty physics.
Congratulations to NaughtyDog.
Very well deserved.
Thanks a lot for The Last of Us and Left Behind ( DLC ).
Wii U is a lame duck.
XBox ONE a whole heap gamers were and are still put-off with Microsoft ( some for spite, others for better features of competition mainly PS4 ).
The rest are still waiting for the really killer game titles or more variety of games on store shelves.
So in a way it's probably only PC and PS4 that are being assembled ( PC ) or bought.
Honestly still *is early days.
I expect the film adaptation to simply be a very compressed version of the game.
A mix of the really good and the not so interesting sequence from the game for sure will be adapted and maybe some newly formed ideas to integrate with some back stories/histories ( about the Cordyceps fungus ) will also be written in.
For me as long as it is faithfully done with good direction/ decent actors, I think it will attract a lot of audience from the gaming community as...
Beware of termites?
Yes, please let it be the new track.
Quantum Break - my reason to get an XBox ONE.
And Congrats on the award for Gravity to Mr. Louden.
Well deserved.
Film is brilliant in it's complex simplicity.
"This really is a new communication platform." - Mark Zuckerberg.
That sentence basically says it all about Facebook acquiring Oculus Rift.
